Transcending CSS will be one of the most sought-after design books of 2007. It effortlessly bridges the editorial gap between CSS book and design book, or for that matter, between web design and traditional graphic design; a feat rarely accomplished in our industry.
There’s been a lot of hype surrounding this book, and from what I've read so far it seems entirely justified. Much more than just a CSS manual, Transcending CSS is a manifesto for pushing web development into the 21st Century. The book is bang up to date, and it makes a compelling read, as you really feel Andy's passion for what he does shining through.
This is no ordinary book on CSS. This book was written for the artist within who wants to build a stunningly gorgeous website. The book contains a fusion of visual art and style sheet technology and makes them work together to create masterpieces on the net.
If you're passionate about CSS, then you can’t go past this book. I already have a few books on CSS in my bookshelf and this is my pick of the bunch to date.
Even die-hard standardistas might uncover a gem or two in here.
